Deciding what comes first

Recently,  I’ve been exchanging thoughts about how to live a satisfying single life with a divorced young mother
who lives with high personal standards but who is feeling “naughty and somewhat slutty” in that she’s being
tempted, as she says, “to share myself with a man.  Not a punk on the street corner, but a real man.”

Our conclusion is that it’s not primarily a sexual relationship she misses; it’s an affectionate, loving
relationship that expresses itself by sharing sex.

For those of you who are facing this challenge personally—or who are responsible for maturing children facing
this challenge for the first time—perhaps you’ll find these two short sentences easy to remember and helpful
                                                          in considering what comes first.

A quality relationship doesn’t flow from sex.

Sex flows from a quality relationship.

This debate is endless but it's always interesting and I like your approach and the succinctness of expression.

Spiritual sex lays the golden egg...let's not put all our eggs in one basket, they don't belong in one basket...farmyard wisdom which should be in the Farmer's Almanac under planting times and moonlore Richard...

As men look at this in a much different way then women, for many men, myself included, love and sex were always opposite sides of the same coin and it was only as I grew older, much older, did I then realize that love and sex can be completely separate emotions.

Pleasures of the flesh are an abyss within the array of interpretations & expressional pursuits…
& also it is very important to know there are no greater pleasures of the flesh than those which are expressed through the hands of love…
It is so wonderful to say “I Lust You…” (and to offer it’s touch)
But it is so much more to show the caress of “I Love You…”
Much Love to You Dearest :)
