On
the
night
the
stars
fell
from
my
eyes
*
*
*
*
I looked past tears and your thin disguise,
Right through your chest to a fake-gold heart,
That I mistook for beauty and art!
Imagine the sick, ugly surprise
*
*
*
*
On
the
night
the
stars
fell
from
my
eyes
*
*
*
*
As if time had forced my eyes to see,
What I'd found in you, I feared in me,
Between cold whispers and lukewarm sighs
*
*
*
*
On
the
night
the
stars
fell
from
my
eyes
*
*
*
*
What I saw in you, I hid myself,
Up, out of reach, on a steel-grey shelf.
Decades older and none-the-more wise
*
*
*
*
On
the
night
the
stars
fell
from
my
eyes
