This the a picture of Me from the October 1969 Issue of "The American Road" Magazine. I am on the back cover in a see-through Torino designed to show that the 1970 model is all-new inside as well as outside. Lee Iacocca is on the front cover Looking at the 1970 vehicles!
This is when I began to write....1980 after 13 years of Corporate Structure - my creative mind was borne to save me from Insanity!
ODE TO FORD MOTOR
There once was a girl from Ford Motor
After 13 Years
Unequivocally Out of Order
Too Late for Structure
She Began to Rupture
She Got Sick -
Just Could Not Tick
Doctors Tried to
Make Sense of It
A JOB CHANGE -- QUICK !
Personnel, Placement
and Industrial Relations
CONFUSED with
Redetermination, Reevaluation
and Changes in Designation
Tried to force a Resignation
After much contemplation
I Admit
I called for Benefits
When BENEFITS was Told
The Sympathy - It Flowed
I'm so Amused
Even Their Manager was Confused
So you can See
the Queen Bee is TIRED
and consequently RE-TIRED
The words were put together so well. This poem, when read aloud, makes me laugh, though deeper still I hear the voices of an entire generation in agreement. Good write.
Sounds like my ode to old Michigan Bell(Detroit) are all of us escapees from CA(Corporate America) krazy. <smile> I too moved to South America/ Arkansas. Interesting write.
