An exerpt from my book.........It seemed that each time I looked at the poems I had written, I
could sense healing. Something inside of me was being put back
together that had somehow been broken apart. I told myself that
the poems were not just for me but needed to be read by others,
that they would somehow mean something to them too...........
It is wonderful to feel accepted. We all will help ourselves if we can accept ourself just the way we are. That is the way our Lord Jesus Christ accepts us. |

ACCEPTED
God is the one who gives out the key;
He opens the eyes and treasures you see.
He says, "I am the one, I am He;
I want you to be what you will be."
You can live a life that is good and steady;
You are given a heart that is made pure already.
"I took all your sin and grief," said He,
That's what was accomplished at Calvary.
"You are whole as I did create
The best way to live is in a happy state,
I give you some friends, some are playmates
To reflect some or all of My many traits,"
I look all around, and I look up above;
I think of the birds; I think of the dove,
There are three major words to be thought of;
They are the alpha, omega and the One called Love.
He did not want me to live in confusion and doubt,
All of my despair causing love to be crowded out.
So at all of the darkness I did choose to shout;
Then God came to me and defined what life was about.
I bowed down my head and shut my eyes tight
And decided to pray with all of my might.
This is the way that I thought was right;
God did come and give me spiritual sight.
He wanted my heart to be made brand new.
Washed white as snow and made all true .
He wants me to see Him in all and everything I do;
He says, "Don't look all around but look within you."
When you are tempted, tested or tried,
He has not went somewhere far away to hide.
He is right next to you, in your heart on the inside.
In everyone, in all, He has chosen to reside.
One message that can sum it all up,
He wants us to come to dinner and sup.
He gives us more love and fills up our cup.
And He leads us away from things that corrupt.
I have eaten my dinner of tasty spaghetti,
It is time to snuggle up with my soft teddy.
It has been a long day, but now I am steady;
I can read the Good Book - now I am ready.
