Blue is really pretty,
deep as sky and ocean flush,
and red combines the passion
of the sunset with love's crush,
while orange is the beautiful burst,
glory rose-bud hue,
but none of them can equal what they do to me
like you.
Lavender, it whispers soft, with undertones like gold,
green, it captures youth and growth and innocence so bold,
and pink, she holds a memory like no color can do,
but none of them equal the beauty that I find
in you.
Well, magenta is like a love bursting full from it's form,
and purple, deep like velvet plush can make me want no more,
at least until the rainbow ends, then I pretend to store
all the beauty colors hold, yet I just want you more...
and gold is really pretty
deep as light and jewel-crush,
while silver combines glitter with the magic of God's touch,
and wintergreen is luminous like holidays I knew,
but none of them will bring satisfaction like
loving you.
What am I to do with all this aching in my heart?
With black & white trying for more, only to get to dark,
the tunnel in my eyes can't see the colors for the hue
of what is now so empty since what's missing is
my you.
Blue is really pretty,
deep as sky and ocean flush,
and red combines the passion
of the sunset with love's crush,
and orange is the beautiful burst
glory sunset rue,
in their beauty, they fail to compare
to loving you....
