recently there was a talk on 'What is good poetry'..unfortunately cause of my severe headache i could not attend. Many a times i've missed such good talks on great many topics...feel sad ...bad...

Name me a word

Why do the blues come my way
Collapsing thoughts
Fear and pain
Bringing in me much of ashame.
What should I seek to
For the darkness looms all day
Heart filled with anxiety
Trying to burst its limitless say.
Silence fills the quite room
Pangs of love and grief
Beckon me
Great, simple, vast as the sky
How else this torturous life to flee ?

"Name me a word" SUNSHINE!!! :)
sunshine is an all natural mood elevation!!
but too in this mood you bring us a into Dark Poetry!
Which I am very fond of...
as for missing the talk about good poetry-you have not missed out!
You only missed out in what other people consider
with their delectable poetry delights! & You already
know what you like, and in all the like & love you have
"Good Poetry"!! I know a gal who despises rhyme
and I like to use rhyme, and then some who think structure
is good poetry, whereas some feel free verse is good
It's all about individuality friend...

My dear neerja, poetry and prose... writing is all our expression whether imagined or real. You have touched a subject many go through. It is what I have told my sons, in this life we all have a choice to be happy or sad. It is your choice, what brings you the most pleasure...

thank you for a thought provoking write to your intimate inner self.

I to, have felt that pain. But you write well and you can write yourself out of it into a place where you can live in harmony with yourself and everyone around you and once again join in on events you would like to attend.
