Oh you demon that ages wrinkles
That creates craters upon smooth skin.
Tick tock seconds evaporating youth
Storming weather - global warming.
Some wanting to turn back time,
Fountain of youth to past mistakes,
Relearning the history of change
Saying things were somehow better.
Tick Tock, revolving world of learning
From the past invigorating the future
Adding weight to realities gravity
Needing a diet to trim back time.
Grandfather clock turning father time,
Antique ambiances polished from new.
Dents and cracks of bumps and bruises,
Once made, recorded for posterity!
Tick tock, tick tock can one have a breather
Enjoying the moment of stilled motion?
Yet even with closed eyes time waves
Its hand on a magical wand of change.
Tock tick, tock tick rewinding the mirror
Finding words that will remember time.
So a ghostwriter long gone can smile again,
A memorial reciting renewal’s reunification.
