Photo Taken By Me

Free As A Brid
By La Belle Rouge

free as a bird, that’s how it should be
no fences, no bars to hold you and me
free to grow up and free to grow old
and visit places of which we’ve been told

no one to tell us what we can or can’t do
free spirits living each day as brand new
free as bright red birds on a spring morn
flying high with joy and never forlorn

rising above all the chains that bind
leaving our burdens and cares behind
warmed by the sun, lulled by the sea
free as a bird, that’s how it should be

6/9/2012 La Belle Rouge

the human spirit is beyond the reach of common bondage - we are trans celestial migrants exploring a limitless range of emotions - only our imagination limits the journey - I am enlightened and buoyed by your inspiring interpretation Belle - it is a gesture of promise to humanity - I wish you love and peace my dear friend - Jon Michael

Roger seems to have set this bird completely free, Belle, in ways that we can all empathise with. As our soul and body age, perhaps we feel these confines like heavy shackles around our ankles as we consider how much we are bound by the loyalties forged in our greeness of youth but which we have largely outgrown. Then, of course, there are the constraints put upon us by external forces which are not of our own choosing. Only the spirit knows how to fly duty free! :)) Love the light and airiness of this write which puts a lift in all our clipped wings. Bless you, xx

...ah yes, free as a bird in paradise,
free from age-old bonds and advice...
oh to be free to be free as a word...
for only words can fly... don't ask why...

Your words have flown without feathers to the hearts of your readers...
to set them free from their tethers... from their wherefores, there why's and their whethers... Nicely done, La Bell Rouge.

Beautiful Belle...your words have never been encumbered nor fettered for as long as I have known you...you soar freely with each genre you quill and I hope you're doing well and the summer finds you in a little sheer beach dress blowing up with the tide kicking up your feet in the sand...

Love Always,
Sage

Absolutely beautiful, Belle. It flows so perfectly with the music you selected. Over the years, you've done some pretty great stuff, but I think this just might be in my top ten. Dick

How wonderful to live in a land of freedom. Your words make it so inviting to leave our cares behind and focus on our blessings.
Puppy doesn't seem to appreciate it, though--what a cutie!

“free to grow up and free to grow old.” No truer statement has ever been told.

I'm happy to say that my puppy, Jazz, was free to run the entire length of the house, inside and out, and to sit at the gate for the little children to come to him so that he could bark viciously and snap at them like a free Pomeranian should.

It was only when he ventured out on the street where he dearly love to roam, that he was attacked by larger dogs three times and didn't survive the third. He was free to live and free to die. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Haha! There was a time that was pretty much like that, Belle. It was called the "summer of love." 1969 . . .
