I.
You defy me
For Iím not worthy of your slopes of green
Being a Woman, and not Mary, I am deemed
Obscene
I see the men you shelter in my dreams
Christ Figures, with heads too large for their fasting, scrawny frames
Combating all thatís Sexual, Sturdy, Translucent in these tiny Breasts of mine
Letting the hunger linger, Blessing the Male tourists hither:
Chores to be done, strange men to be
Undone;
How soft they do disperse Legends of
Sainthood
To us, Female minstrels, down below, moonlit faced turning our heads in mute disgrace
(Get Thee to the Nunnery)

II.
But I am her, this grrl: Big-boned, Tall, Face-oval stone of sparkling pride
Having just won the apple of gold, I crave to glance over Her
Gardenís guarded gems
Board Aegean Airline, Single, Bold
Over 20033 metres into the skyís
Secret alcove
Once on the earthy turf I pause - for the Virgin to come forth and
Toss me Off. But wait:
I spot a Man
(His dirty beard)
Splashing cold water on a flock of tourists standing in
Boxers
On this holy-sodden ground; I catch his eye just as he matters on
Some prayer
Holding the towel up with care, smiling a
Hearty smile, I Dare

III.
My hands serenade my naked plum-ripe thigh,
As I cast the full length of my fleshy cream-faced buttocks to subside
The laughter of my choked up sighs, again, I catch his eye
Time skips a beat and down, he hits the ground
A fall wrought from his soulís full joy,
Heaven-sent, Red hot, Bent
Into this Dark, Sweet, Celebrated Soil.

Eleni, such beautiful expression. I have not been here at Authors Den much either but it is a shame that you have not frequented this site in over a year. Such excellent wording.

Ditto my comments on "Bridge." Truly you write extremely well, Eleni. Love and best wishes,

Regis
