I awaken to your missive,
A reward I can’t deserve.
Compassion my only compass,
Your smile a guiding light.
Faint, faithful whispers,
Carried on the edge of night,
Fill my troubled mind,
Clears my tear stained sight.
Prurient thoughts envelope me,
Seemingly without cause,
Yet, into my mind they creep,
Indifferent to my plight.
Sweet, infatuatus dreams,
Carried on the edge of night,
Fill my lonely slumber,
Recorded in morns first light.
Upon these gifts I’ll sail,
Through life’s calms and perilous storms,
Powered by unconditional kindness,
Your beauty my only kite.
To the end of time I’ll float,
Carried on the edge of night,
My thoughts of you unfettered,
Your beacon forever bright.
