Seeking comfort, into darkness we crawl,
Holding onto shadows that timesí resolved.
Ignoring caresses of timeís embrace,
We choose misery, comforted by pain.
Pain sought in survivalís name.
Holding tight, helping shadows survive
In an otherwise shadow free time.
Time, full of wisdom, will wash us clean,
After lying so long in anotherís palm,
Though the earth has turned to shifting sands.
Accepting the healing of timeís helping hands,
Accepting that open palms turn to fists,
And solid earth eventually shifts,
We erase the shadows of our minds.
Once again open to human emotion,
The abundance of life weíve missed
By hiding in the shadows of what is gone.
