This is a dream I once had years ago.
When I am feeling very low.
Into the backyard, I like to go.
Sitting on my lawn chair, I slowly fall to sleep.
Sometimes rain drizzles down my cheek.
The rain feels so gentle, it feels like lace.
Of all my worries, there is no trace.
To a cold place I want to go.
A winter wonderland filled with snow.
I will slide down a snow covered hill,
With my children just for a thrill.
Go ice skating on a frozen pond,
Build and Eskimo's Igloo, until early dawn.
Drink hot chocolate by a fireplace,
Cuddling with my husband, I feel real safe.
I hear a dog bark, and I awake,
Back to reality, and my unfortunate state.

|Thank you Victor for the comment. I too like the Island living. In my life time, I have experienced snow storms, blizzards, and some flooding. On the Island where I live, I have experienced earthquakes, typhoons, and we lost several homes, and many personal items. So bad things happen to all, no matter where you live. I dream of snow is a dream, and I would love to live this just once.
Thanks again for the great comment, I truly appreciate it. Crystal G. ( Hello to all who read this poem, and the others I wrote. )

|Dear Crystal, the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. Believe me I prefer the weather we have on my small island, than the snow, floods, and storms of the North. Still your wishful poem is brilliantly written. Victor|
