sometimes we have to allow ourselves to
be who we really are

sometimes

when the world seems cold and dark

we hold our head up high

and smile at the world anyway

even though it might seem

easier to share

this part of ourselves

but sometimes

our feelings are so deep

that the words can't

express

we want to say the words

but don't always allow ourselves

to speak

it is okay to be happy

it is okay to cry once in a while

sometimes

the words get stuck

and there are so many beautiful

things I want to say

but I get scared

so I stuff them inside

and they come out

anyway

in tears

poems

songs

it is always good

to be yourself

and don't be ashamed

of your feelings

because they are real

and they are you

sometimes

its good to allow

yourself

to be

you

perhaps

the words

you speak

will make

someone

smile

and

remember

that you

touch

their

heart

words

can

heal

dare to speak

your heart

and

let

your

love shine

Very good write and you sound very sure of yourself in this one. It is the kind of words many need to live by and hear from someone else. Lois C.
