If she reads this...she will know it is for her. There is no need to say, she will just...know.

The first meeting, a feeling of

considerable anxiety, either one

knowing the other. Closely scrutinizing

behind closed hearts, a loss for words,

wanting to reach out but fearful of

rejection, a powerful and painful

admonition of past hurt by one who

should never have left.

Don't you know, after all of this time,

the feelings of Love deep inside this

wounded heart I have for you, and

thoughts of  the one who should have

stepped up but couldn't are finally

laid to rest? A child who chooses

to trust again, to reach out in fear,

is one who is willing to let herself

be loved again, even in the face

of another rejection. Don't you

know how much I love you? My

heart has been healed by your

acceptance. Don't push me away...

Love me back.

You are loved from afar, perhaps not by those you want
but by those who care.

Love will come out. When I was a young girl in church a family adopted a little girl. She came to Sunday school one Sunday without smiles on her face and was a different girl the next Sunday. She continually smiled at everyone. A week of love made quite a difference. I just wonder where that girl is now and how her life went.
