My sister is getting ready to have her baby soon, she's having a baby boy, he's taking his sweet time, she was due last week. I was thinking how it was for an unborn, the quiet, the peace and serenity. It is why he probably chooses to stay where he is! This is what inspired this next poem.

Silence in darkness

space between

secret refuge

linking two

into one

body.

Silence in darkness

warm cocoon

forming life

into one

body.

Silence in darkness

protective shield

watery world

forming your

uniqueness.

Silence in darkness

time approaching

small problem

no more

room!

Silence in darkness

illuminated womb

make way

life is

born!

Mary,
My daughter Donna is expecting her fourth child in July! She don't have long to go. I hope your sister has her baby soon. Excellent insight into an unborn baby's world.

Many blessings,
~Linda

Babies do seem to take their own sweat time making their arrival into this world. Who could blame them for wanting to stay in their warm cocoon... Great write Mary!
Hugs, Laura
