Ride your dreams to the sky. :-)

A challenge is issued to my soul.
I must learn how to forget myself.
New words promise a new adventure.
All I must do is trust and climb on.

I am afraid, I am so afraid,
Because I don't see a safety net.
And what if I fall?  Who will catch me?
I'll never know unless I climb on.

I see a Genie on a carpet.
His eyes twinkle in his face like stars.
He tells me that he's glad to see me.
What do you wish for?  Tell me, climb on.

Where is it that you would like to go?
What places have you wanted to see?
I will take you anywhere you want.
Your wishes have been granted.  Climb on.

The carpet is gorgeous.  It looks strong.
All of a sudden, it is airborne!
I discover I am scared of heights.
Why, oh why did I have to climb on?

The Genie takes my hand from my eyes.
He tells me to open up my heart.
My horizons are narrowed by fear.
To expand them, I had to climb on.

The carpet dips between thunderheads.
Lightning sparkles in the Genie's teeth.
Nervously, I reach out and touch him.
It is okay, because I climbed on.

I chase meteors across the sky.
I dance with the brilliant Northern Lights.
Eagles tell me their flying secrets.
So if I fall, I can climb back on.

We laugh and play with tiger kittens.
I can't believe I befriend a shark!
I now have Sasquatch's home address.
I live, because I dared to climb on.

I rope a tornado, break it down.
I bounce off mountains and touch the sun.
I find out I'm rich beyond measure.
And all I had to do was climb on.

Karla The Konqueror! This is a gold-medal winner, Karla, and we have travelled the highs and lows of this write with you: the exhileration and the fear! Very well done - you showed those storms and tornados a thing or two - and you trusted your Genie even when his teeth glistened with the threat of lightning! You show us how to overcome - she who dares wins! Excellent write and spirit demonstrated here! Bless you... keep climbing on!!! Kate xx
