So many poems, so little time!
I can't keep up the meter and rhyme!
'Write!" commands this little Muse of mine,
'So what if it doesn't come out fine,

And so I write.

So many poems, so many words!
Flying 'round my head like wing'ed birds!
'Write!' demands this little Muse again,
'I've supplied the words, you have the pen,

And so, I write.

So many poems inside of me!
They're all clamoring to be set free,
'Write!' instructs this little Muse, 'Once more,
You need words?  Why, I've got a whole store,

And so, I--write.

So many poems, so little time!
I'm dreaming poems, words most sublime!
'Write!' whispers this little Muse, 'That's it,
You're doing great!  Don't stop now, don't quit,

And so...I write.

So well expressed, Karla. You are fortunate to have so many poetic gems in your soul. I find that I am inspired only once in a while. Merci pour cette offrande, mon amie. Amour et paix. Régis

Why we write: because we have words that have to get OUT, or else we'll go MAD!! LOL

Wonderful write that captures the very essence of what we writers face each and every day! Well done, Karla; BRAVA! May your pen always flow!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :D

Ha! Karla, me sweet, we hear the same voices, you and I... hmmmm... 'siamese schizophrenics?' (grin) Ah, yes, I can make light of this, having a son who actually DOES have schizophrenia and gave me permission, after he quit rolling on the floor, laughing at his loony mother!

I think you and I may be joined at the psyche... from my head to your gloriously clever delivery. "Write!" Snotty, demanding little imp, ain't he? (giggle). I've been known to glaze over, suddenly running from a chat, to regurgitate words to paper. Like birth, they WILL be born! You've tickled AND floored me with your fabulous wit. katy xox.
