I AM OKAY. This just came to me, and so, I write. :-)

"A POET'S FINAL WISHES"
~~~~~ .. ~~~~~
Let my last breath be drawn from a well of ink.
That way, I can make my final mark on the
Page.  Everyone will know a Poet lived here.
..
When my heart gives out, do not resuscitate
It with tears and rave reviews of how good I
Was.  Tell me the truth while I am still alive.
..
Do not revive me with false promises of
Fame and fortune; my pen has been emptied of
Ink.  Words are of no use to a dead Poet.
..
When I die, surround yourselves with words.  They didn't
Make fun of my lack of talent or being
A Poet.  A bookstore would make a nice tomb.
There's truth in there somewhere; deep--mind's eye view. Emotional, Questionable, is this how deep & wide the poet (I'm just getting the hang of it! :)))))) It is good but the sparkle in your eyes, I don't see the gloom.
Take care,
Sharon
This is so moving. It touches writers and non-writers
who want something that say, yes, I was here.
This is a splendid write.
