What a difference a day makes! :)
|
it's strange how things go smoothly when you know what you're supposed to be doing - the work is hard, don't get me wrong, but when you're part of a team, you can accomplish great things
i earned my pay in ev'ry way
yes, i'm tired, but it's a good kind of tired; muscles i forgot existed and owned are sore not complaining; proud of the job i did today stacking dishes
i kept 'em full that ain't no bull
was so busy, didn't get to eat i whistled while i pushed huge HEAVY dish carts to the line and greeted everyone i met with a smile on my face work was actually fun
it went by fast the time that passed
no more stressing out; i've discovered the key to my happiness have a great attitude wish i'd learned that earlier saved myself some grief
that's not to say won't have THOSE days
now that i know i can do the job and do it well there'll be no reason to doubt myself i'm the best dang dish stacker they've ever had
so is my twin partnered, they win
two small cogs in the wheel without us, our bosses notice a difference they miss us when we're not there tomorrow, they will since both of us will be off
we can relax and rest our backs
maybe a raise will be in our future we proved ourselves today to be worthy employees couldn't say that yesterday i feel we did good today that's what matters
bosses happy and so are we

| This poem reminds me of the "Cool Hand Luke" movie when they "built that road" so far in one day that they were also proud and happy with their accomplishments. thing is, the bossman wasn't all that impressed. he said thhe next day that now that I know what you can do, I expect that each and every day. Bosses are like that. But, after saying that, I have to say that you are absolutely right in being proud of being the "best dang dish stacker they've ever had," and that you have found your confidence level again. Good for you. |

| All it takes is a postive attitude & as you say, it won't be there every single day, but as the bosses take notice, not long for you will dish stacking be in your future...maybe the exercise will be good for you in the long term, it couldn't hurt howsoever...Ed & Rufuz |

God bless you Karla and Karen! This is the kind of testimony that the Lord blesses, because it shows how we can overcome all things when we place out trust and faith in Him and ourselves to do something. It proves all things are possible.Kudo's!
