The Arctic Express on the way: conditon critical: upgraded to a Winter Storm WARNING, with significant ice accumulations possible.
|
One twelve: January falls in its tracks, right overhead; it needs to rest a while. Its mouth hangs open; frigid breath exhales in an icy blast; trees bend in sympathy to its weight; frozen digits gnarl around the clouds: Winter hath returned with a fury, knocking out any recollection of Spring.

It's been a bit crazy here in Ky. as well, warm one day and snow the next day...the weather has been crazy this year. It snowed Tuesday and today it was warm enough to wear short sleeves...Loved the descriptive write, enjoyed this one!

It has been crazy here too, all my plants have the buds for leaves because we keep swinging back into warm days, but every week, we get more snow and freezing temperatures. I am thinking that it will be a hard winter, and hopefully I am wrong, but it has been colder and more snowy here this year than in the previous 7 I have been here combined. I hope the warm comes up and takes the chill off of you.
Take care,
Sherry |

It turned cold here too Karla. The mountains are full and many roads are requiring chains. A fine write.

| BRILLLIANT... But Winter might just have to watch out... Spring could be that old woman-spurned, thing, herself!! :)) Fantastic personifications here. Deliciously sharp and steely in its conciseness, Karla. Time for me to find a snow-hole somewhere... K xx |

In Oshawa between the tracks where i live winter flirts but except for three short snow showers hasn't amounted to much.

Warning from Toronto: Don't drive if you don't have to, Karla. Weather conditions sounds awful. Out west the situation is pretty bad too. Much snow...three people so far have died...overcome by dismal conditions when they tried to walk for help after encountering car problems. Be wise! Be safe! Chilling write!
God Bless
LOL
