... no color, except the mist of sadness. ....

Written for those, grieving. Including me.

Image (c) 2008, Karla Dorman

... all i can hear is the white/noise
of absence, of silence.  life has
gone out of ... life.  no color,
except the mist of sadness.

lonely.  so lonely.  feel forgotten.
how long will this go on?  can
only hold so long:  hands are
slipping -- about to fall --

can't do this on my own.  need
your help, God.  you know
what this is like, i don't.
can't stand the sound

of white/noise, loud in its absolute
silence.  hold me in your arms
and let me rest, knowing i
was loved and am ....

eeek that's a most irritating noise. Grey skys, nothin going right, it's enough to scare us into a despondancy...Keep a watch out for a blue sky, take a photo, and when the blues hit, focus on what is still about, not what is looming overhead.

Karla's Psalms! This also reminds me of the ancient Egyptian prayer: "Protect me in all the empty places through which I must walk." Beautiful, poignant.
