... stormclouds a permanent fixture in darkened skies of depression: ....

Ranting: suicide NOT an option. Just tired, Lord, tired ...

Image (c) 2008, Karla Dorman

... it's going to take 45 days for
the i.r.s. to tell me whether i get
a stimulus check or not?  need
food, now:  the bills aren't going
to wait for your decision.

neighbor jumped all over me,
the thanks i get for helping.

the prayers i've said met with
stoney silence.  thanks, God.

selfish:  others have lost far
more, but can't see past my own.

stormclouds a permanent
fixture in darkened skies of
depression:  don't know how
much longer the shoulders
will bend before they [i] snap .....

(c) 2008, Karla Dorman (9/19)

To let it out helps, dear heart, even if it doesn't fix it all. Sometimes, the burden does feel much too heavy on shoulders that feel much too frail, especially when part of the load is of things we have little control over. But... standing strong also helps, believe me; adversity, "muscular monster" as it may appear to be, is in fact a freakin' coward that rams its tail between its legs and runs away howlin' its head off when we face it with determination and faith, and stamp our foot as we let it know that we've got what it takes to make things better! You can and you will do it, darling, you've got what it takes! And we love you and are here for you, too!
