Don't know when I'll be back. :( Say a prayer -
|
Vital signs slowly
deterioating to
a pattern that is
not compatible
with living -- how long before
a code is called on
my monitor? It
served me well -- not ready for
it to die just yet,
but can't stand to see
it suffering. You can see
it in its face that
it wants to let go.
But I don't want to. It's been
my lifeline to the
world. How do you say
goodbye to a friend that brought
me joy and laughter?

Karla,
A very unique way to tell this story. I recently spilled Diet Dr. Pepper on my keyboard. The pool of it sat there until I got back with a papertowel. I had to remove the face of the keys and clean it up. Since it's a laptop, I thought for sure I'd lose all. I'm lucky it worked out. A few kinks - a broken key - but all in all okay. I hope your situation improves. You would be missed! Hugs,
Sheila |

Hi Karla,
I've lost the beginnings of three novels thanks to computer crashes. Most of the time, the machine told me I had successfully burned the novels to disc, but when I put the "burned disc" into the new computer, there was nothing on it.
Good luck with that one!

Hi Karla, I know how you feel. My computer crashed 3 times in 2-1/2 years, had to start from scratch everytime. Hate it... hope to see you back here soon... in spite of it all...

Hi Karla, glad you're back. Paul is right, when doors close on you, god opens windows. I hope someone brings you a monitor soon, mine is a recycled one handed over to me - it ails too but fights for life (LOL)
I like this poem, very good.

Karla, you should call up your town hall. They sometimes have used monitors that they give away, even your local library or school, any public facility. They are always upgrading and don't know what to do with their older equipment.
I wish you much peace, love, and light,

| I'm so sorry, Karla. I wish we lived closer my friend. I have an extra monitor (Dell) I would gladly give you but it's a long, long way from New Hampshire to Texas. Trust in God, He will come through for you. When I feel I'm locked out and have lost my key, He always seems to open another door. Have faith and God bless. |

I don't even know you personally Karla but if I had any money I'd send it to you to buy a new monitor. As it is I live from month to month and barely make it. I hope a good samaritan reads this and helps you.
Hugs,
Marcia |

We will be back soon; just keep the faith! Hang in there; I will try to do the best I can, even with the green screen (Augggh)!! LOL At least we can come here until we get a new one; hopefully someone will see our plight and help; all we can do is pray for a miracle! Well done, Karla!
(((HUGS))), much love, and continued prayers~
As always, your twin, Karen Lynn. :) |
