You know the saying, Men are from Mars, women are from Venus ... LOL!

Image (c) 2007, Karla Dorman

Conviviality, adj [LL convivialis, from the Latin convivium banquet and fr com- together + vivere to live]:  enjoying companionship and the pleasures of feasting and drinking; jovial; festive.  (New Merriam-Webster Dictionary)

"Conviviality" (For Cryssa's Challenge)

C ome, you said, when you saw me wiping my fourteen eyes
O nce more, What makes you so sad?  No bother, really, it's
N othing at all, I said, It's just whenever I hear this piece by
V ivaldi, 'The Four Seasons,' I get a bit nostalgic.  You see,
I 'm here on holiday.  Where are you from?, to which I replied,
V enus.  Oh!, you clapped, I love Venice!  I went there last year.
I t was wonderful:  saw the canals, rode the gondolas and all.
A hhh ... VENUS, I said, you know, second rock from the sun?
L et me out of here!, you screamed and ran out the door.  And
I was having so much fun.  Eating the last of my dessert, I
T hought to myself, are all men like this?  Know they are on Mars.
Y ou know, whoever said Earth was a happening place, L I E D.

Ah! Your definition differs from mine... My dictionary just said pleasant; enjoyable because of its friendliness or sociable; fond of the company of others
Your poems continue to make me smile and laugh though!
And... I love the picture you paired with this out of this world poem.
Waiting for my next word... with baited? breath... or maybe just shaking in my boots after that last word of xanthippe!
hee, hee...

I loved your acrostic. When I look at the picture of the sky, I think of the millions of tales that probably already have originated and are still to come from out of those dark heavens. I enjoyed your tale.
