Fecund:  fertile; productive; fruitful; rich

Words conceived in love
slip out in a rush of ink
and onto the page -

they open their eyes
and recognize the Poet
who gave birth to them,

and the readers who
waited for them to be born.
Even though they have

many brothers and
sisters who came before them,
this their day to bloom.

(c) 2009, Karla Dorman (10/21)

To say you outdid yourself would imply that your other poems aren't superb... but this one is my favorite of your answers to my challenge...at least the serious answers... hee, hee...

This has depth, beauty, form... just superb!
Hugs,
Cryssa
Hey! wait a minute... you only used fecund in your title! Is that fair? The title did produce such fertile words from your pen, that they became fruitful and rich within my own mind... hmmm... maybe I will have to count it. :~)
