Forehead full of the Gulf's sweat, I
look into the raw red-meat face
of morning. Another day spent
being cooked alive under a
microscopic sky lasering
misery onto my back and
over the land; another day
of wishing for rain that doesn't
fall; another day spent watching
cracks widen and the grass turning
deadly pale; another day of
smelling Texas burn; another
day in a whole string of records
dominoing into the books ---
another day, under the sun.

We are having the same weather you are and all I can think about is that I will take this type of weather everyday as long as I do not have to endure the long frigid winter ahead.
love and peace, Carole~ |

| First, the imagery in pronounce with the write... as if nature's wrath is unwilling to relent... Of course, this is based on current events taking place... Nature has always had ways to replenish this world... Let's hope for one in the near future... Thanks for sharing your thoughts... |
