she has one
moment to
impress the
waiting to
see her grand
is a new
star in the
play; darkness
hides her; the
music builds,
leading up
to her cue--
you're on!--and
lightning makes
her nervous,
entrance; she
leaps from
one end of
the stage to
the other;
back again;
pass she makes,
dancing as
she's been taught,
against the
backdrop of
deepest black
she leaps--and
applause shakes
the skies--God
thunders His

i was inspired to write this today as
a round of thunderstorms--the first in
almost a month and a half!--passed
through the area.

the lightning was vivid and intense,
but o, so beautiful.

I did a "Lighting dance in ballet once...and that was fun!! you took me right back to the good old "Younger" days..
