September Eleventh--almost two years has passed
Yet, it seems like it happened only yesterday
The memories come back, brought back by the newscasts
I remember as the images are replayed
September Eleventh--two years have gone by
The Twin Towers were attacked, needlessly destroyed
I see the reminder when I look at the sky
Where they stood, there's now only a big, empty void
September Eleventh--the Pentagon attacked
No more would we be safe from a terrorist threat
Four airplanes were taken, four airplanes were hijacked
On a day that we will never, ever forget
September Eleventh--when the skies went silent
Policeman, Firemen, EMTS gave their lives
Flight Ninety Three was lost in one awful moment
But heroes ensured that many more would survive
September Eleventh--a day of infamy
I remember Joyce and all the others that died
On the four planes...in New York... Washington, D. C.
I remember...and my heart is breaking inside
September Eleventh--almost two years have passed
Yet, it seems like it only happened yesterday
The memories come back, brought back by the newscasts
I remember as the images are replayed
I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER AND NEVER FORGET.

| Me too, my friend; I thought it was so sick when my daughter taped three hours of those newscasts, but my boyfriend grabbed my hand and said "let her", and now I play those tapes again and again because I never want to forget. |

((((KARLA))))
Heartwrenching write that expresses the anguish and sorrow we still feel nearly two years later! My heart still breaks for all those who lost loved ones or friends, especially Joyce Ann Carpeneto's family and friends. We must NEVER forget, and it all seems so pointless and senseless. WHY??
Super write of memorializing those who perished that day, and to ALL people who were directly affected by the attacks (we ALL were affected; the tragedy left NOBODY untouched)!
*GOD BLESS AMERICA AGAIN!*
*MAY WE NEVER FORGET!*
*MAY WE STAND UNITED AGAINST TERRORISM*
((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))) and MUCH love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :( >TEARS < |

May we never forget. My heart still cries for the victims and their families and seeing the images replayed on newscasts, just serves to eat at me inside.
Such a horrible tragedy, so senseless.
Great write of remembrance, Karla.
Love,
Jill |
