Searching for love in the wrong place...

Two steps forward
eyes flickering
emotion hidden
beneath a lie
touching, wanting
but not giving
afraid to reveal
what is true
sighs and cries
on slick skin
moving too fast
heat burns swift
no thoughts inside
no regret, not yet
all is lost
to pretense
fingers grasp
lips speak
of dirty deeds
while bodies steam
then three steps back
eyes closed
no love found
just passion.

Theresa,

Does one ever get over the guilt of passion. Needs are needs and love is love. One without the other can never be complete. As you say in your poem, "two steps forward and three steps back." Shall always leave us one step behind. Bless You Always, Paul.
