Walk lightly into the oval office...With dignity...Suppress war...Return troops from the desert sands...Where terrorism has planted too many seeds...

Today

A majority of the nation

Identify you as a Dasher

Walk lightly into the oval office

With dignity

Give the people back integrity

Suppress war

Return troops from the desert sands

Where terrorism has planted too many seeds

Speak boldly unto the nations

A wish of peace amongst all countries in this world

Tear down the walls of fear

Acknowledge a power

That lie waiting if triggered

Give the Elderly who have sacrificed their lives

Back a ray of hope

Commit unto the people a resolution of insurance

Where they not fear debt

Destroying what is left of their savings in illness

Revoke interest rates which climb the ladder

Taking away the little monies

Left in the poor mans pockets

For though they not are rich

They deserve the same rights as do the richer

A home for their families

These people ask not for a free path

They are the blue collars of this nation

Strugglers in pride

Bury their tears giving them a paradox

Bring forth a design to the people where

Interest gas and food prices will fall reasonably

For

The People have chosen you a guiding light

Escape their mind’s prejudices of color or creed

For finally freedom rings

In the path to progress

We are one nation under God

Indivisible

Waiting in hope

Yes, I agree. I wrote a similar poem - same ideas -
just different words.

MERRY CHRISTMAS my friend in Christ!
I just want to take this time to say
"Thank you Jesus for freedom to write!"
Debra, you are a brave lady and I respect
your courage in overcoming cancer.
God Bless you,

Debra,
I think this poem should be read at the Inauguration. A lot of passion and truth lies in these words. I also think it should be sent to your Congressman to be read at the next session.

I remember my grandmother complaining about the price of gas back in the 80's & then the 90's....goodness & the price of milk!!...people can hardly afford to get to work, but can't afford not to go, but then payday goes mostly to the pumps...nothing ever needs to be wasted especially hate....hate is very wasteful & non-productive
Thank You For Your Views & Thought Provoking Piece
Much Love & Peace To You Always Debra

This rings of truth, wisdom and common sense. Perhaps one day this world of ours will see the light and learn to live in peace and share....

Be always safe,

Deb I think you captured the voice of a nation making a reasonable request. Not just your nation but other nations that are also feeling too long punished or made to pay for far too much. Well done, this should be sent to the candidates all.
