I place my faith in the hands of God...
Deliver I ask him in silent prayer...
A miracle...

Early in the wee hours of dawn

I place my faith in the hands of God

Deliver I ask him in silent prayer

A miracle

Let him rest in sedation

In the arms of the Angels’

Watch over him

While the Surgeons in battle of time

Try to save his soul

I know in my heart

It is only you who can grant him life

I plead mercy you do so

I pray

He rise to walk again

A man in good health

The husband and Father so loved

In this hour of prayer

We wait in silence

Gods’ decision

Hello Debra. I read your poem,"A Prayer of Hope". I found it sad but yet hopeful. Such faith must be rewarded. Look around. I'll bet the Lord has already done so. Best of luck with your writing. Please feel free to visit my site here in the "Den".

Prayers do help and sometimes if enough people gather together to pray the ill are healed and go on living and lead a wonderful new life. My prayers go to the person about here you are talking about. It is an inspiration to be able to pray for others and make a difference. I need this kind of prayer life to keep me going too.

Debra,

The unification of one voice uttered heavenward is a miracle for a surety that God recognizes and confers rendered.

If this is an actual poem about current events I too pray all is well and if it is free verse - you have caught the hour of need well.

~Donna.
