By the time old man Winter arrived...Our Love was as deep as the snow...Wrapped in old quilts... I fell in Love with you...over and over...

I remember

Our love blossoming in the Fall

By the time old man Winter arrived

Our Love was as deep as the snow

I remember

Your birthday

Though I was not present

Your ship arrived

Sailing my love to you

Wrapped in old quilts reading each of your letters’

I fell in Love with you

Over and over

The butterflies danced in my heart

Every line I wrote in return of our affection

I dreamed of your dark brown eyes

Your dark chestnut hair

Time after time

My heart imagined someday

You lingered inside my heart and soul for years

Forty years later and worlds apart

You still hold that a key to my heart

It is amazing when that kind of love exists and lasts often for a lifetime and the flame never burns out. You capture the longing of lost love that was held in the heart so well. hugs fee
