It's never easy, loving
from a distance.
The miles between us try and
temp us to lose our faith;

The distance pulls at our hearts
removing warmth
and something lovely and pure
leaving a cold vacuum;

Empty
A letter is a small spark
that grows intense
and passion burns life anew
acknowledgement of love;

Hopeful
Faith is restored bountiful
reason again.
Oceans between us are bridged...
connection is made;

Dreaming
Waiting is much easier;
time hastens now
revealing fears unfounded
for we are closer yet;
