ONE OF THOSE NIGHTS

It's one of those nights
When I'd like to make love
Under the stars, just you and me
In all our naked splendor,
Dewy grass beneath our backs
And crickets chirping all around us.
The world alive with activity.
Nature everywhere
And only the trees to witness
Our climactic coupling.
It's one of those nights
When I'd like to stand out on a balcony
High above the rest of the world
And look out at the many lights of the city
And sip the finest champagne
And allow myself to be beguiled
By the magnificent heavens above,
With you at my side
A faint breeze lifting my dress ever so slightly,
Cool air caressing my skin
And classical music softly playing
In the background.
Ah yes, it's one of those nights
When I'd like you to take me in your arms,
Whisper promises of love,
Trail kisses down my neck
While you drink in the scent of my chosen perfume
And swoon at the mere sight of me
And whisk me away to places beyond
And far, far away.
Surprise me my darling,
As only you can,
With your fascinating destination retreats.
It's one of those nights,
Yes, just one of those nights.
