AN ACT OF DIGNITY
By Anika Logan
© 2002 Anika Logan

A helping hand…
When you most need it.

A second chance…
When you least expect it.

An honest word…
When you most deserve it.

A loving gesture…
When you most cherish it.

An act of dignity…
When it is most called for.

A nice poem, but I felt it is somehow incomplete. Are the acts before the last stanza the acts of dignity? Is that what they have in common, in which case, the last stanza should be plural. How does this or these things affect you?
