I thought I should write a poem after a long time

I walked into a storm of ice

Shards hitting me in the face

I look around me to only see

The snow flowing around me

It is so cold, and I can see my breath

I fall into a pool of water

Then I look up to see

My face reflecting on the clear snow glass

I open my eyes again

To only see myself in bed

I look outside to only see the snow

Flowing around the house only as the day goes

I smile becuase I saw my reflection

I saw her stare right back at me

Her green eyes painted with happiness

and my soul full of joy

Now I open the door

and stand in the snow

The snow flows around me

I smile and move on

Because the snow will freeze me in time again

and it won't let me see her again

So ne through the snow

Even if the shards keep on hitting me

I keep my eyes open

Just in case I see her face
