so much crap in the world these days

the politicians, leaders, governments
are all a waste of time

so much violence and indifference
makes one head spin

so many hungry and sick
surrounded by abundance and “well being”

so many singing off key
and dreaming of shit

wish I could quit
and enter the aether of reason again

"in time,
in time"

said the rabbit

One of the most shocking "details" in the world today...
The end gives your writing the "nowonderland" twist.
Tragic irony?

Funny how wonderland is a law unto itself, yet, when the Alice-Voice arrives, that somehow changes everything and a different logic prevails and overrules. Even "in time" is an interesting concept: do things "happen" in a linear sense of at a given-distance's length, or do things occur as and when in conjunction with other things taking place? Just keep jumpin, RJF... you very probably have the Thumper-footfall that keeps the world shakin and tickin along! :)) xx

All things come to an end eventually, so many are wrapped in their own cocoon now, so disconnected from themselves and others, ships floating in a sea of crap holding their noses, or wearing homemade gasmasks. All this reminds me of, I'm alright Jack, or screw the hindmost, how else can one live in such affluence among the poor?
I have to eat, I have, I'm not hurting, I'm not being killed, everything is alright with the world, it will continue for a while yet, till the crap swallows everbody up, it just has to get high enoung, then your Rabbit will have its time, and then the wailing,
Oh lord help!!!!!!!!!Bless you for writing this! Jasmin Horst

There is suffering, pain, anguish, and a sense of escapism in this poem. Together it creates and re-creates the vicissitudes surrounding us.

Things are never as we wish and yes there is far too much hunger and violence along with crap but it is all part of life and we are all where we are today because of our choices. Even the government didn't get in without our permission as we voted them in. Thank you for sharing Jude.

I admire this woman I been taking care of, she is 93 years old. (tomarrow she may be 91 again) She has such a sense of completions about her & a surrendering bounty of peace...it is possible to see these fractures in life bound in "nowonderland" & still obtain personal perspectives to balance, but yes:

No Wonderland, well, it's all in how you want to see oneself. I personally believe that I could live in my own wonderland, always looking on the bright and positive side, never embracing anything dark or negative. I want that for my children, it is a good way of life.

You are so dead on right in your 4 final stanzas. You summed it up very well.
Love, light , and peace,

Take comfort in the fact that everything is exactly as it is supposed to be. We fail to see or recognize the perfection in everything and in everyone. We are all volunteers for the life we are living and we each have the power to change our attitude about it, if we truly believe we can. Getting caught up in those things that others choose not to change only steals our energy from us and wastes our time. This is precious energy and time that we could be using to heal ourselves and become all that we are capable of becoming. Our time here is measured and we will live out each day no matter how we feel about it. There is much to learn, and to long for that which is unatainable is futile at best. Concentrate on the strength that you possess to make your world what you need it to be and let the spin go on around you without interferrence. Shields up, my friend. Creating this field around you will keep negativity from entering your personal space. Deep ponderings in this one, Jude, enjoyed the read.
Take care,
Sherry

Hello Jude: I challenge you to remove two cliche's, tighten by removing all the extra little words ( the so's and ands, even the's) -- real concise), make it a little more "Jude,"(since theme is prevalent) and then can i see it?
I'm with you here. Of course the end is perfect. rabbit didn't say how much time? Darn. My patience is running on empty; my patience is running on a cliche. julie
