| …so that’s why blokes open the door for women to pass through ahead of them! :)) But surely the passion you speak of here is born from deep within, rather than from without… I love the subtle shifts in this piece, Jude, which focus outwards through universal time, space and mutual experience in the first half, then inwards to the specific/personal in the second. When kindred spirits share the same macro-canvas, it makes for satisfying relationships where all shared paths lead into one. And you use beautifully shape-shifting diction – first abstract, then very clear and controlled – to express these warm concepts founded on percepts. The core of this for me centres on the timeframes, from the opening “light years have passed us by” to the moment “when I gaze into your eyes” and on to “remain(ing) not too far behind”, there seeming to be an ellipse like an unravelling timeline of DNA running through your thoughts, a continuum connecting past, present and future. I guess my mind is still working with impressions from the Annette Messager exhibition, juxtaposing the bizarre with the baby-soft, of which your images here remind. And thinking again of Steve Prosser and his “barrel-lore”, ideas resound with my old poem Going Over Niagara, too… You’ve got us all at this Designing Thoughts-lark, Kartero, poetic engineer that you are! Lots of Windy Light in this one, “releasing us from the gale of forgotten memories Reminding us to pronounce The legacy of life’s lexis Upon the parchment of inspired hopes And illuminated ideals” – I like! hurryKane Kate xx |

Very expressive and with perfect symetry of thought. I think all poets and romantics do share a common train of thought that is like links in a giant chain...sooner or later the links must come together to form a whole.

Dreamy passion that has spanned eons, it just doesn't get any more romantic than that. Enticing write, Jude, that stirs emotions and collective thoughts. This offering is a subtle confirmation that perhaps those feelings are real and we aren't just crazy. ;)
Take care,
