lately, irksome shadows inhabit my dreams

even the spectrum of autumn leaves
melts into an organic ooze of colorless vibrations

   swirling through thoughts
like the furious foray of titanic tornados
uprooting the ravenous roots of dry sands

hurling spacious restrictions of creative whim,
caught up in an upstream of potential endeavor

lately, I’m traversing directions i “shouldn’t venture”,
at least that’s what the doctor told me,

you know, that one residing
somewhere in couch sky

is it a violation exploring prohibited directions?

i think we all know the answer,
             only if you allow
reluctant road shadows to drive you

It's always fascinating, Jude, how dreams matter so much and yet cold logic says they are dreams, but it never ends there...the separation is impossible, i am what i dream and i dream what i am. This is an admirable baring of soul, an honest admission and it resonates and resonates.

Love the movement in this poem, Jude, as the title suggests. It seems to be a work of two halves: the “hallucinogenic” desert experience of the first which grounds the spiritual/psychological questing of the second. The title itself gives a wonderful picture of shifting barriers, like windswept sand dunes, and is a great summation of what is perhaps expressed within the whole piece: that unseen barriers are always in the way and are always being reconfigured, like moving goalposts - IF anyone else is in charge of our “game”. And fabulous choice of diction and terms: “Violation” is suggestive both of the act of transgression (i.e. what we might commit) and of personal abuse (i.e. what might be done to us) and, to me, this dualism is centrifugal in my absorption of this work.

In a nutshell, we each have free-will although others might try to enforce prohibitions upon us. All things are therefore permissible within our own sense of personal sovereignty but, in a universe that has vast sources of power in supernatural realms for both good and evil, I don’t believe that all things are necessarily advisable. To actively pursue knowledge and understanding of all things is inviting, but can equally be a very hard task-master; and within our mortal frame I think it can serve to fragment the sense of personhood and psyche so far as to go beyond that which is humanly possible without driving ourselves bonkers!

I’ve taken this to extremes here. The main thing is that no-one should be allowed to be in the driving seat other than self, or to whomsoever we trust to hold that position (if you ascribe to a God). There will ALWAYS be helpful naysayers and unhelpful ones. Likewise those voices that seek only to speak what’s truth - good and wise. But ultimately its (y)our call. As Amber says, we are all going to get to wherever it is we’re going in the end and our own personal journey will be unique for each one of us. Whatever choices we make, we make them based on whatever revelation we have, what our life consists of and the current timing we’re in: there can be right journeys/wrong times… wrong journeys/right times. We have to discern what’s best at every crossroads that presents. Many borders are made for crossing; but, unless we have a great measure of divinity within us, others are best left until a less fragile state of (meta)physical being is achieved.

Ditch the reluctant cabby, Kartero, who complains endlessly about the cross-town re-routing and go with the sherpa who gets down on his hands and knees and knows the unseen terrain like the back of his hand! Venture forth bravely but with the wisdom of the serpent and the innocence of the dove. All things are possible – what’s permissible is up to you. And send us back a postcard!  Karavan Kate xx

I say just break down all barriers of time and space and go where ever the hell you want to. We have enough restrictions in the real world...in this so-called "land of the free." Ha! Nicely done Jude. Really like this one.

It is a violation not to Jude, yes tornadoes of that magnitude are a bit unsettling, but it is always the mind talking, when that happens, I somehow always sing Verdi's, song of the slaves. You have an incredible gift of words and how you spin them, spin with that tornado or shadow, ah, the exploring too, like first experiences of young love, do it man. Love and Peace! Jasmin Horst

Ah Jude, the mind is a terrible waste if we allow that psychic couch malingerer to try and control our thoughts. I fear we have a real live one in that very process even as I sit here typing. Thoughts and dreams, are escapism's and to thwart that fleeing into uncharted thought process is a crime against the very nature we are a member. Dream on, dream on, everything will turn out the way it is supposed to . . .

No matter the venture or deed, it is always about the motivating force, isn't it? There are no waters that we should not explore, but before we do, we must make sure that our heart is pure, our faith is strong and our desire to learn far exceeds any fear we may possess. Excellent poem, Jude, deep and a bit mysterious as I ponder exactly where it is you are attempting to travel.
Take care,

Moving violation is so damn ironic! It is your TICKET to new cosmic asphalt! Belt up and drive baby drive! Pick up that beautiful high-bone cheeked hitchhiker, she's got a pink slip of her own! Venture away! Do they have analysts in the astral strip mall?

Jude,
It is so good to see you back here posting again, I was thinking that you decided to go to one of those fractal coastlines and stay. I have been having this same type of melancholy also. I believe the Universe is telling us light worker people something. It's in the air, my friend, you don't need anyone to tell you what to do, you know what to do, as well as I do. There are things that we can deny all of our waking hours, but then, there are those things that are very hard to explain, but we know it in our souls. Those unexplainable things are the life force that will drive you to do the work we all need to do. There is not fear, only willingness to follow your soul's destiny...
Your last lines totally hit me deeply with my soul,
"I think we all know the answer, only if you allow, reluctant road shadows to drive you"
Yes, Yes, yes, reluctant road shadows is simply "fear", fear of succeeding, fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of what one would lose, all of these are nothing, because in reality, we cannot control the future, it is what it is going to become. We need to stay in the present moment and give ourselves that precious gift of living in the moment. When we do this, everything balances and there is nothing more to worry about. Do some deep breathing and imagine white light energy filling your lungs and feeding your body with healing energy vibrations. Listen to some David Lanz or any kind of nature music, zen yourself out and call me in the morning!! lol :)
Sorry for being so medically inclined, but I am a healer and I feel your need to cleanse and heal yourself...Go to the fractal shore and be free and release any negativity into the ocean and let it go!

Much peace, love, and light my special friend,
Amber "V"
