| ... Ah yes! Poetry By Numbers! :)) I have known a thing or two about this this past month or so! I still hope the Good Luck numbers and tokens are holding fast for you - and no; no regrets, Kartero: it's sufficient to know the dreams and adventures are truly alive and will work themselves out as we all keep writing them (even if we're still currently clueless as to their present meaning and intent!). We keep on the forever onward and upwards path and looking for the next opportunity that might present itself. The hands will be dealt in the right order and each one is a step along the way - no crap! Kasino Kate xx |

Jude - Love this poem. Especially:
i still dream of a better world
and a life filled with secret adventures
regrets will only hinder my capacity
to age peacefully and maintain a diehard nature
I think that's the only way to defeat age, which is physically relentless.
I especially liked the last inspiring lines:
i’ll continue to dream of new hands
raising the ante,
playing poker poetry
until death
Deal me in, too. - David

Jude,
I hope that you get a royal flush! Just think of hot nights and hot babes catering to your every whim, as you throw those cards to the wind and live like you never dreamed you could...
I just never pictured you a gamblin man...somehow seeing you with a beer and a cigar sounds very intriguing..new image of the Shaman man..I like it...Have a beautiful time in the arena of poker poetry..I will be the one with the losing hand, because my eyes always give me away...I don't play poker unless it's for fun; like strip poker..lol :) Let me know when you are up for the game...
Much peace, light, and love,
Amber |

Yea as an avid poker player who loves the game and I think the challenge of reading odds and faces...I can really empathize with this one Jude. Life is like a big game of chance and we can fold every hand except the sure bets or we can take a chance now and then and go for the gusto.

Why not make your dreams your reality? It is not about what is going on around you but how you preceive it, and how you allow it to affect you. Life is too short for regrets, so sieze the moment and make it all you want it to be. I think that there is a bit of Don Quixote in all of us; dream the impossible dream and then choose to live within it. There is a good chance that most people already think we are nuts, might as well give them someting to ponder. And what if we are so happy that they wish they were us? Oh to be the happy idiot!!! Very nice write, though it makes me feel like there may be a shell that is cracking from beneath the surface.
Take care,
Sherry |
