I actually have a coffee cup with this cartoon that was made up as a present. The most common comment is "Wrong finger".
It is 2AM, the coffee hasn't worn off, I haven't been able to add for the last hour, and my 'get your butt out of bed' alarm is set for 8. It is going to be a long weekend.

Tax Time

It’s that time of year again

The tax man comes around

And being an accountant

To my desk I am bound

Was it so long ago

We simply shared and laughed

Reading poem after poem

Trying to hone our craft

Now I have over 1500 emails

And a data entry stack 4 foot tall

The IRS is on speed dial

And I’m missing you all

My legs are swollen from sitting

My diet has gone amok

And if you want any numbers changed

Be prepared to duck

So please accept my apologies

And my absence during this time

But my adding machine doesn’t do reviews

And I can barely rhyme

The job of the accountant is a blessing and a curse, this time of year --- lousy hours, but lots of customers and each one paying. Good luck and we'll be thinking of you from now until 4/15! This is a cute poem and I hope taking a break from work to write brought you some sanity. I'm not an accountant, but I'd say, as busy as I'm sure you are, the stress right now is unimaginable!

Hang in there; we'll be thinking of you.
