Diamonds...

are such wondrus things
to think of all the joy they bring
light captured and given back as from a star
with beauty rare they dazzle
eyes and hearts of a lady love
truly a gift sent from above
to think t'was once a lump of coal
and now it stirs a womans soul
their value here is no suprise
it's only in a womans eyes
the rock can turn a heart to butter

now us men would see no value here
we'd prize the thing for it's hardness
and only see a cool glass cutter

Walt

well i've met men that see them as financial investments and other men that see them as a cruel curse to the miners who dig them, but every woman i've ever met could only see their dazzling sparkles...

May me laugh for I've heard men say they don't understand the attraction. Though diamonds are pretty not all women turn to butter for them. I will say though it was the first time I've heard that men see a cool glass cutter and that made me laugh. Just think that when a man feels trapped in the glass house she wants to live in, he's already invested in the proper tool. Lady J

They are very good for that! And coal on a deep winter's night can be very good, too!
