Tornadoes and Daffodils

An F-4 tornado struck Americus, Georgia in March of 2007.

It came here in the dead of night,
the sound it made was such a fright.
So loud and strong there was the noise,
T'was terror for the girls and boys.
Roofs they flew and cars were tossed,
came the morrow so much was lost.
Likened to an artillery barrage,
was that a cow in that garage?
I walked around with camera in hand,
and viewed the carnage of the land.
Faces with a shocked blank stare,
relief came in from everywhere.

Then there was a lovely sight,
daffodils blooming in the light.
With heads held high they looked so proud,
"Did ja hear our mother, she sure was loud!
She visits every day you know,
you seldom ever notice though,
but mess with her and she will blow"

So just a thought for what it's worth,
we are guests upon this earth.

WE MUST still believe in the light, as it's illumination is made slightly! WE must hear even the lightly!
WE are guests! and we should all relate and partake!
This is gem I will savor!
It shines brightly of your giving and caring heart Walt!

Well done, and sure does show amazing nature. I feel sorry for the animals who get caught in the cross fire when they are fenced in though. In nature most animals know long before us where to go and hide. Take care and stay safe down there. Lady J

Excellant write Walt the images and graphic painted a vivid image of the storm, it's devastation and the after affects and between the lines a subtle but all too true message that we are mistreating our world.
