From on high where angels play,
Sent to me on one spring day.

With tales of love in poetry,
You know so much you mean to me.

You made me smile my special way,
I thanked the Lord for you each day.

Your tender purr, and loving touch,
A simple look could mean so much.

A gentle nudge would tell me flat,
You want to go do this or that.

Oh yes my dear you loved to play,
In bags you’d hide and sometimes try,
To jump my leg as I walked by.

And dinner time was never risky,
Just so you got your Little Friskies.

Still living in another city,
I miss you much, my precious kitty.

I am a cat lover myself

But my wife can't be around cat or dog

I had to get rid of my Cleo

Gave her to my son

Peace be with you

This year, I got my own [very own first] pet - a cat, Toby. He's a delight and his purring, well it puts me to sleep. Wish your cat and you were living together. That would be the icing on life's cake.

God bless you. Kathy

Walt, what a lovely write...reminds me of my dog, Ringo, as he nuzzles my hand to pet his head. Missing an animal can be as heart felt as missing a person. I enjoyed this so much!
