Enigmatic verse I write,

Questions to answers,

Almost in sight.

What do I fear?

Do I fear the things I see,

Or the things I cannot see,

But still fear?

Why do I fear at all?

Pride cometh before the fall,

I’m not proud.

Yet I do fear.

I fear seeds yet to be sewn,

Answers to questions yet unknown.

Questions for answers,

Fear of failing, of dying alone.

Within the universe divine, only mankind is unique. It has been thus crafted by divine, design. That makes me feel meek, but does not fill me with fear. In awe of a God that has placed me in the epicenter of his creations, is surely merciful and of the "Greatest" good. Relax, observe, sate. It's the greatest gift you can have. I'm touched by the emotion of yourself that is in this work. JonMichael Willey

A very honest appraisal that most of us would fail to admit ourselves, but all experience (count me in among them right now, in particular!) And, your rhyming has improved since i last dropped in. Excellent choice of graphic. A classic. PS: happy new year!

There are always more questions than answers...and that leave us with the fear of what tomorrow might bring!!

No one want to die alone....but with faith in our hearts we will never be alone....love will carry us through the darker hour...till only love surrounds us!!

A Happy New Year Awaits YOU!!

Walt,
I have that one same fear, Fear of dying alone. I understand what you mean..we can have all the good friends and wonderful children, but to not have that significant other that truly cares and nurtures our soul, that is where the fear comes into being. I wish you many blessings and warm healing energy for this coming year....Happy New Year Walt..

Fears are just as necessary to our lives as breathing...they keep us focussed, keep us prepared for the unexpected and keep us from being too rash and using our brains sometimes instead of other organs to think with. Well done Walt.

It is a fine poem you give us to ponder, Walt. Fear touches us all, but it's said we can turn it to strength. I think we all have our different ways of dealing with it,and it is intriguing to say the least. As long as we don't let it stop us from taking risks, which is an important part of life!

Happy New Year,
