Hope is the Jewel

I carry it in my heart today

faith and charity

are the gold which surround it.

My joy is in love but it is not a dream.

It must be constant and mutual.

I will forget yesterday's heartbreaks

those memories would only interrupt the

peace and joy of feeling blessed today.

I will carry in my heart a new dream

but it is not so new,

it is from long ago

almost forgotten

It always comes closer.
