My Sir Lancelot

If I had a time machine, I would go back to when Chivalry, Love and Romance truly meant something. I was born in the wrong era.

Chivalry is Not Dead
For I have seen it in the face
Of a Man that I know
His grin is unmistakeable
His eyes are a reflection of His soul
He is a Knight of the Round Table
The Warrior and Protector of Camelot
On the surface He is a humble man
Yet beneath He is my Sir Lancelot

He smiles in the face of adversity
And champions all who believe
That the purpose of life is a higher cause
And reason is the way to perceive
His strength is incomparable
To any Man I have ever known
Not only the strength of His body
But of His wisdom my love has grown

He is something of an enigma
That my mind would care to explore
To penetrate His Suit of Armor
And reach His hearts most inner core
What lies beyond that door
That He has locked so far away?
I will endlessly search for the key
With a steadfast heart to lead the way
The journey may be perilous
But I shall have no fear
For He is my Sir Lancelot
And I His Guinevere

Oh, Lisa! May you find your Lancelot and may he let you unlock his heart! You are not only eloquent, but beautifully determined. :)
