The most important night the world has ever known. Could any poem completely capture all that it represents?
It was a night like no other,
starting with a Virgin Mother.
In a stable, she would give birth,
to God's son,Jesus,born on Earth.
Wise men and kings had traveled far,
led to Bethlehem by a star.
It shown so brightly in the night
and on a manger, cast its light.
Gifts were laid before the boy king,
while angels in Heaven, did sing.
The sheep crowded around the child
and witnessed his first,tender smile.
That night has long since, passed away.
The story is still told today.
There was a child born in the night.
A gift of goodness and of light.
