Having been to Scotland, there is no way, I couldn't write a poem about "Nessie".
They tell a story in a land far away,
about an ancient guardian in a lake.
The creature surfaces in the light of day.
Some people say, it's a gigantic sea snake.
How long has it been there?
None seem to really know.
Does it have a secret underwater lair?
How far down, can the monster go?
It likes to swim in the cold blue water,
often viewed from a castle's shoreline position.
Probably searching for sturgeon to slaughter.
Many say, it's all just a lot, of silly superstition.
I think this sea serpent, really does exist
and has lived here since the beginning.
A silent sentinel, within the watery mist.
To remain here for time unending.
Perhaps it is the last one alive.
A lone survivor of its reptilian race.
Elusive and spectral, trying to hide,
gliding beneath the waves, in haste.
I believe it stays here for a reason.
To see that Scotland comes to no harm.
Through each and every enchanted season,
an emissary, of this land's magical charm.
