My son sleeps
Foot resting on a log
On the fireplace ledge
Curdled into a little ball
He is, a little man
Transforming,while he sleeps
He is my hopes.fears and dreams
Innocence
And still the lone horse paws the snowy hill
And yet he sleeps
I wonder,what is it,he is dreaming
He looks pleasantly serene,happy
And only an hour ago
Anger,turmoil,and bitterness
All adult things
All gone
Washed away
Past,present,future
Quietly,the golden red embers
Whisper
As the fire settles down
A warm glow,wraps him up
In a blanket of sweet dreams

Nice. you really captured the feeling of watching a child sleep - the innocence - the peacueful honesty and expectation.

This is just lovely! How is it that their pure innocence can erase so much turmoil from our thoughts?
I really enjoyed this piece..
